Capabilities
Twelve services, one engineer, one phone number.
Take the whole scope or a single piece of it. Most contractors start with a plan set and end up handing me the permitting too.
Design & documentation
PV + ESS plan sets, sealed
The complete permit drawing package: cover and code summary, site plan with fire setbacks, roof plan and module layout, attachment schedule, electrical sheets, calculations and placards. Delivered as one sheet-numbered, PE-sealed PDF.
Single-line & riser diagrams
String configuration, overcurrent protection, rapid shutdown, grounding and bonding, and a drawn label schedule showing what goes where. Traced end to end so nobody has to infer a conductor.
Shading & production modelling
Layout optimisation and yield estimates before the layout is fixed — so modules land where they actually produce, and your customer’s expectation matches the array.
Off-grid & hybrid design
DC- and AC-coupled systems, including fully off-grid builds. Autonomy, generator integration and load prioritisation worked out before hardware is ordered.
Energy storage
Battery systems — retrofit and new build
Storage added to an existing PV system, or designed in from the start. Working clearances, listing compliance, placards and the code path for indoor and garage installations.
Structural coordination
Mounting, uplift and product approvals
Carports and canopies, uplift tables, attachment schedules and mounting details. Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance products specified where the AHJ requires them — which in South Florida is most of the time.
Permit & AHJ packages
Submittal packages and comment response
Packaged the way your building department wants to receive it. When comments come back, I answer them and revise — included, until the permit is approved. You are not paying per round trip.
Utility interconnection
Applications and service coordination
Interconnection applications with the supporting engineering: load calculations, main-bus derates under NEC 705.12, and meter or main service upgrades when the existing bus will not carry the system.
Field & contractor support
As-builts & pre-inspection checks
Record drawings after the change orders, plus a punch list and corrective notes before the inspector arrives — so the first inspection is the last one.
Commissioning & troubleshooting
Remote or field guidance when a system will not come up, a string reads wrong, or a rapid shutdown device is not reporting.
Third-party & owner’s engineer reviews
Independent code-compliance and QA review of a set drawn by someone else — before you buy it, build it, or inherit it.
Contractor enablement
CAD templates, drafting standards, bills of material and hands-on training for your in-house design team. Several Florida contractors run on standards built in this office.
Beyond the drawing
I would rather your team stopped needing me for the easy ones.
Training your designers on templates, standards and code paths costs me work in the short term and earns better projects in the long term. When your in-house team handles the routine residential sets cleanly, what reaches me is the work that actually needs a PE.
Not sure which pieces you need?
Describe the job in two lines. I’ll tell you what the scope actually requires — including the parts you do not need to buy.
