01 / Background
Installer, then draftsman, then engineer.
I started on the roof. Before I ever drew a plan set I was the one carrying modules up a ladder, running conduit and finding out the hard way which drawings were written by someone who had never installed anything.
From there I moved into CAD design, and eventually into engineering. Today I engineer residential and commercial PV and battery systems across Florida — but the installer’s habit never left. When I draw a detail, I am picturing the person who has to build it at two in the afternoon in July.
Over the past decade I have delivered more than 4,000 permitted projects, from custom off-grid systems to public facilities including the University of Miami and Pinecrest Town Hall.

The contractor licence matters more than it looks. It means the person stamping your drawings has been responsible for work in the field, not only on paper.

One engineer, start to finish.
No middleman
You have my cell number. Questions, feedback and concerns go straight to the engineer sealing the set — not to a coordinator who relays them.
Fast, and honest about it
Drafts typically inside 24–48 hours. If a job cannot make that window, you hear it when you ask, not on the day it was due.
Local reviewers, known quantities
Miami-Dade, Broward, Monroe, Palm Beach, and FPL and FKEC on the utility side. I know what each one asks for before they ask.
Drawings built to be read
Compact, legible layouts with clear installer instructions. A set that only an engineer can follow has failed at its job.
Revisions until approval
Reviewer comments are part of the job, not a change order. I answer them and revise until the permit clears.
Bilingual, properly
English and Spanish, on the phone and in the markup. Your crew and your customer can both ask me questions directly.
04 / Teaching
The craft is worth passing on.
I love this work, and I would rather the industry got better at it. That means training contractor design teams, publishing standards they can actually use, and answering the question behind the question when someone calls.
Every project is a chance to produce something clean and correct. That is not a slogan — it is the reason the turnaround is fast. Good habits are quicker than rework.
